Kentucky Wesleyan College: Celebrating 150 Years
This book records some of the people and place who over the years have made Kentucky Wesleyan College a place to receive a quality education. The college has had many successes, from athletic victories to being named the Best Buy in the South by U.S. News & World Report in 1994. The college has also been subject to struggles and setbacks, from the burning of the main building in Winchester in 1905 to the tornado that ripped through the campus in early 2000. Much less than these adversities has closed the doors of their institutions, and it is precisely the college's tenacity, its unwillingness to give in or give up, that marks the Kentucky Wesleyan story. In a word, the college is a survivor. As the college celebrates its first 150 years, let this book be a reminder of where we've been and perhaps a glimpse of where we are going.
