580 Split is the national literary journal of the Mills College Graduate English Department, which is published annually. The editors sought a diverse collection of work for this issue: diversity of style, form, and genre; diversity of content; and diversity of the writers themselves. Writers of color, LGBT writers, and underprivileged writers were strongly encouraged to submit.
