During his 14 years with the 49ers, the former Notre Dame standout directed them to four Super Bowl wins and won three Super Bowl MVP awards. ''Joe Cool'' was selected to eight Pro Bowls, a record for quarterbacks at the time, and ended his career with the 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs with 3,409 completions, 40,551 yards, and 273 touchdowns.
